Executive Chef

Curacao - Dutch Caribbean

One of the most comprehensive Hotel properties on the Island of Curacao in the Dutch Caribbean is looking for an EXECUTIVE CHEF to oversee a sophisticated culinary operation.
This 280 room and suite property includes 3 concept restaurants and an exclusive Banquet operation.

Therefore we are looking for the following profile:
- US or Dutch citizen 
- Previous Caribbean Experience
- Bachelor and/or Master’s degree
- Work stability and experience as Executive Chef in a Resort environment or similar.
- Excellent leader, strong integrity, sound judgment, superior problem solving, and decision making skills to effectively manage and build trust in a team of high performers and the department.
- Thorough understanding of profit and loss management the of Food & Beverage department.
- Proven track record of being progressive, forward thinking and creative, building enthusiasm and energy for team success. Creative culinary innovator.
- Strong experience in all modern cooking techniques and presentation.

The offer:
Salary USD 90.000,00 NET per year
Housing allowance USD 19.000,00 per year
Bonus 25% per year based on balanced scorecard goals

Executive Chef de Cuisine


For a 5* deluxe resort on the North Coast of Mauritius we're currently searching for a top-notch Executive Chef de Cuisine. This resort boosts nearly 200 rooms, seven Food & Beverage outlets and hosts banquets up to 300 guests.

As an Executive Chef you will be responsible for the smooth operation of the entire outlet’s kitchen, Oriental Kitchen, RoomService, Pastry/Bakery, All-day Dining and Banquets/Events working closely the Executive Chef.
You will also lead the smooth running of the
hotel kitchen by assisting the Executive Chef in areas of Budgeting and
Costing, store items and wastage control, food quality standards. You will be
responsible for contributing to the menu creation, managing and training the
team to lead the Kitchen department independently. You should ensure that all
staff within your department are adequately trained and developed in line with
company policy. You will also be responsible for the Recruitment and
Selection of your team and for managing any Colleagues’ Relations issues with
the support of the Human Resources Department. You will continuously
monitor and direct the whole team to ensure they adhered to brand standards and
high quality of produces.
